• NIOSH: The National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health, a section of the CDC that oversees occupational health and approves respiratory equipment.
• PLHCP: A Physician or other Licensed Health Care Professional (competent health care facility provider) authorized to perform medical evaluations.
• N95: A type of filtering respirator, commonly referred to as a dust mask, used exclusively for protection against particulates.
• PAPR: Powered Air Purifying Respirator; a loose-fitting, positive-pressure device that provides a continuous flow of filtered air.
